Introduction and Company History

Where tradition meets modern trends, something exceptional is born. We are a family-owned company from Třebechovice pod Orebem with almost 100 years of tradition and 24 employees.
We have been operating under the name ELEGA since 1992, continuing the legacy of the national enterprise Gala.

Our Products and Materials

Our passion is creating luxurious leather handbags from premium Czech and Italian materials.

We emphasize precise craftsmanship and modern trends. We also produce for many smaller fashion brands that choose us for our commitment to honest craftsmanship. As a result, our products are available throughout Europe and in Saudi Arabia.

Collaboration

In 2014, we launched the brand ELEGA by Dana M in collaboration with actress Dana Morávková.

Initially, we approached her as the face of a new collection, but her passion for fashion and handbags led to the creation of a new collection that combines our experience with her ideas. Under this brand, we release new collections every six months.

We also collaborate with students from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art and professional designers to bring innovative and stylish products.

How Our Handbags Are Made - From Idea to Production

The entire process of making our handbags takes place in the picturesque town of Třebechovice pod Orebem, where tradition merges with meticulous craftsmanship to create unique and high-quality products. Here is an overview of the main steps that lead to the creation of our handbags:

1. Idea and Design

   Each handbag is more than just a practical accessory; it reflects each woman's lifestyle. We monitor global trends and, based on consultations and trade fairs (mainly in Italy), we create new collections tailored to different women's needs.

2. Material Selection

   We pay detailed attention to the selection of materials, hardware, and accessories. Owner Eva Šedinová personally selects materials to ensure their quality and aesthetic value.

3. Prototyping and Testing

   After the design is approved and samples are created, we test the handbags to ensure they meet our expectations during everyday use.

4. Production

   Once the prototype is approved, production begins. Handbags are made in batch production, while limited series are hand-cut. We have a traditional workshop in Třebechovice pod Orebem where handbags are made with a focus on precision and detail.

5. Quality Control

   Every product undergoes strict quality control to ensure the final product is perfect. Mrs. Šedinová oversees the entire process to ensure each handbag is prepared for sale with love and care.

6. Packing and Distribution

   Finished handbags are carefully packed and prepared for distribution. We make sure they reach customers in perfect condition.

Company Management

ELEGA is a company with its heart in the right place, reflected in the leadership of Eva Šedinová and her daughter Dita Valentová. Eva, as an expert in handbag production, oversees the precise craftsmanship and overall impression of our products. As she says: "Handbags are our passion." Dita brings new directions in marketing and social media, helping to keep the ELEGA brand modern and innovative.
